Aqua Soil — Planted Tank Substrate

Details

An active planted-tank substrate: dark, granular, and fired to hold its shape under water for years. It feeds heavy root feeders and buffers soft water the way planted tanks and Caridina shrimp actually want.

  • Plants root and stay rooted. The granule structure lets roots spread and hold, unlike sand that compacts or gravel that gives nothing back.
  • Active chemistry. Gently lowers and stabilises pH toward slightly acidic — the range sword plants, crypts and most shrimp prefer.
  • Dark floor, bright plants. The near-black colour makes greens pop and hides fish waste between maintenance days.
  • Do not wash it. Rinse dust once, then add water over a plate or bag so the granules are not disturbed.
